Shallotte Elks Lodge #2854 Donates iPads to Support The Pantry Intake Team

Every week, volunteers at The Lord’s Food Pantry gather to provide healthy food for our neighbors in need. Doing that effectively requires the ability to keep accurate records for those who provide them with the food they distribute. On a recent Saturday morning, members of the Shallotte Elks Lodge #2854 visited the pantry to present the Intake Team with two new iPads and related accessories. Having these additional tablets will allow them to register clients who visit the pantry more quickly and accurately. In addition to providing these technology tools, Lodge members plan to collect food and purchase toiletry items for the pantry. These donations are made possible as a result of a recent grant that the Lodge received from the Elks National Foundation, the charitable arm of the Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks.
