Join Shallotte Post Office in The National Association of Letter Carriers' Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive on May 9 2026

The National Association of Letter Carriers' Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive happens every year on the second Saturday in May (May 9, 2026). It's the biggest one-day food drive in the country, and you can get involved by putting non-perishable food items (like canned soup, pasta, rice, peanut butter, or canned veggies) in a sturdy bag next to your mailbox before your mail carrier shows up. They'll pick up your donations during their regular mail route and drop them off at a local food pantry. The Shallotte Post Office is taking part in this event, and collected food will go to The Lord's Food Pantry.
